This bag is handmade in a small Columbian town called San Jacinto, located 120 km from Cartagena. Most of its 28,000 inhabitants suffered from violence during Columbia’s conflict and have been living in difficult conditions.
Each bag is unique and handmade, produced in a small family workshop.
Artisan women weave the previously dyed yarn with a vertical loom. They transform simple yarn in most valuable pieces, handling it with precision, using a 500 years old technique which has been recognized by a certificate of origin.
